About the University
The University of Forestry and Environmental Science (UFES), Yezin has roots in forestry education introduced under Yangon University around 1923. It moved to Yezin in 1985, became an independent institute on 16 July 1992, became the University of Forestry in 2003, and was renamed the University of Forestry and Environmental Science on 10 October 2017.
