About the Academy
The Defense Services Academy (DSA), established in 1954 in Pyin Oo Lwin, is Myanmar’s premier military academy. It trains future officers for the Army, Navy, and Air Force. The academy offers bachelor’s degree programs in liberal arts, physical sciences, and computer science. Graduates are commissioned into the Myanmar Armed Forces.
Since its founding, DSA has produced over 33,000 graduates, many of whom serve in leadership roles across the military. The academy emphasizes discipline, leadership, and academic excellence, preparing cadets to become “The Triumphant Elites of the Future.”
